Clutch pedal pumping

Recommended Posts

I've discovered recently that if I pump the clutch pedal a few times before engaging first gear, the bite point becomes lower, where it should be actually as the clutch is new.

The slave cylinder is new too.

Do you think it could do with a bleed or is the Master showing signs of wear perhaps?

I'd go with bleeding it... pumping it will "harden up" the air bubbles, where as it shouldn't make it any better if it were the master cylinder... :|

Yep, as suspected, there was air in the clutch hydraulics. Stealth have got a new bleeding toy now, so it only took a couple of mins to do. Clutch feels a lot better now. Lighter and bite restored to the bottom/middle of the pedal's travel
