TomB 0 Posted December 29, 2004 Well, it's taken a while, and but I've finally scanned some photos in (as the ones from my phone just didn't do it justice and made it look pink). While the car did belong to Coullstar before me, and I haven't made any external changes, I thought I'd post some shots up. Cheers, Tom EDIT: Removed badly coloured shots. TomB 0 Posted December 29, 2004 Cheers. First on the list is to sort out a few rust spots that are trying to break through! After that, I'm going to start saving... :-) Cheers, Tom

Baz2004 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Looks very clean for an early valver, is that a re spray? I like the read VW badge on the rear very subtle.
TomB 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Looks very clean for an early valver, is that a re spray? I like the read VW badge on the rear very subtle. Not to my knowledge, although I've had 3 small rust patches re-sprayed on the driver's side just to stop the rot... The red badge was coullstar's work (as was the 3 slat grille and the black front badge and the springs/shocks...well you get the idea :-)) TBH he created a fantastic look that I really like and I'm just keeping it in as good a nick as possible. The paintwork comes up beautifully with Autoglym shampoo and polish, and I've just put a layer of wax on as well (although the roof is showing slight signs of pinkness  ). Cheers for the comments, Tom
Baz2004 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Nice work, I T-Cut my tornado red C last summer came up well. You have to be careful though I managed to cut down to primer in a couple of spots on my bonnet. I’m getting the bonnet + wings re sprayed once I have it back on the road, I might even do the rear badge in red :) !
randal 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Man, that gleams. 8-) Very nice, and impressive that it hasn't gone pink like loads of red VW's have!
coullstar 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Good to see your looking after it. I miss my Raddo's. Whilst I like my Mk3, if my job situation changed I would be straight out to get another. The roof was always a bastard to look after and keep red.
TomB 0 Posted July 17, 2005 The roof was always a bastard to look after and keep red. Never was a truer word spoken :-) After half an hour of minute examination and application of autoglym followed by turtle wax the roof's red again (for the moment). Needs more wax overall though. More wax=less wind and pinkness resistance :-) Cheers all, Tom
TomB 0 Posted July 25, 2005 Just got a film back from the developer so I thought I'd add a 'low' shot :-) Bit spattered with flies, but I'd just arrived in Cornwall.
