Louie Lungbubble 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why, when reversing, my clutch (and car) bounce like a £100 cheque from a spotty chav? A pub-mechanic once promised me it's only the plates out of alignment, but I'm wondering if it's not just the whole thing on its way out. Any ideas? Ta. Louie Lungbubble 0 Posted January 8, 2005 As in a bounce. Not suspension. Defo coming through the clutch. It's as if the clutch is only biting on one half of its surface as it spins, which results in a kind of jerky bouncey movement (fnarr fnarr), and it's impossible to reverse the fecker smoothly. The clutch isn't giving any of the other usual signs of being about to give up, which is why i'm scratching my head. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
