bcstudent 0 Posted January 23, 2005 Nice! What's that interior out of if I might ask?
goodridge 0 Posted January 23, 2005 Thanks. The interior is from a MK4 1.8T. Was a bit of work to get in, but well worth the effort IMO.

samm_cvr6 0 Posted January 23, 2005 looks very nice and smooth, ah brings me back to my old MK2 days. Is it an 8/16V? are you going to hang on to it?
goodridge 0 Posted January 23, 2005 Thanks for the nice comments guys. :D The rear wiper is a Fiat Punto item. It is an 8V, never really been a 16V lover. I sold it to my girlfriend at the time who still has it. I'm still insured on it and have it back occasionally. Do really miss it, spent a hell of a lot on that car :( I fitted the seats only a few months before I sold it, took me ages to get in, but I haven't seen another one with those seats in yet 8)
JT 0 Posted January 23, 2005 cheers buddy have to sort one of those out, mine has a porsche interior with electric lumbar and bolster makes a real nice touch to the car but mine is a 16v gotta say i love it jjust so much fun to drive it has only got 110 on the clock and has been loved all its life really chuffed with it would put up a pick but can't reduce the pixel size at the mo... that wiper did you put the motor in as well or did you just replace the arm (is it as simple as that) just cant see how the motion of the motor will work with the arm cos mine goes left to right and yours must go right to left.... :?:
goodridge 0 Posted January 23, 2005 The arm is a piece of cake to fit. You just need to drill out the hole where it bolts down onto the splines a bit until it fits. Then drop the tailgate trim panel and move the arm down to where it sits against the screen. Instructions for lay-flat wiper are on http://www.matey-matey.com 8)

Bally 0 Posted January 24, 2005 M8, the seats looks sweet in a MK2, how wide were they? did the rear bench fit straight in? cousins running that exact rim in his MK3 & they are nice..
goodridge 0 Posted January 25, 2005 They were fairly wide to be honest mate and did slightly foul the door pockets. You would have no problem if you were running speaker pods, or a small amount of adjustment would sort it. Never really bothered me though to be honest. The rear seats needed bolting together then I bolted them to a steel cross piece which I welded between the strut tops. The bench bolted down with the existing mounts and some body screws. Bally 0 Posted January 26, 2005 I'll pass on the info to mate who's looking for seats.. cheers
