JBOB 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Im looking for recommendations for keeping my polished rims shinny during the winter. I don’t have any other wheels to use and it only takes a couple of days to ruin my hard work of polishing them. Im using autosol and get a really good finish that doesn’t last very long. What are you guys using.

Henny 0 Posted February 3, 2005 I'm not sure what I use... It's one of my dad's old waxes which hasn't got a lable on the tin anymore... :| Any good wax will do the job, you just want it to put a nice layer of protection on so that the road and brake crud can just be washed off... 8)
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 3, 2005 I use Swissol car wax on the wheels and it does a brilliant job of stopping dirt and brake dust sticking to it. Dirt and dust just wipes off with a microfibre cloth and water. If the rims are laquered, I wouldn't use Autosol tbh...well, maybe once or twice a year, constant use of it will wear the laquer away!
