gradeAfailure 0 Posted February 21, 2005 Yeah, we liked the polished Sony one too... Though I'm thinking of going old-school on the stereo to match the dash better! Just don't want to lose CD-Text and virtual surround sound... :)

Slimbo 0 Posted February 23, 2005 Excuse my newbie-ism but can you make any mp3 player run through your head unit? I've just bought an iPod that I'd love to be able to listen to through my Alpine head unit.

kerrinmay 0 Posted February 23, 2005 Was thinking of asking for a Creative Zen Micro for my birthday this year, but it will only be any use if I can connect it to my head unit. I've got a Kenwood that accepts a CD multichanger but will just have to look to see if the leads shown on caraudiodirect are compatible with my particular model. Slimbo 0 Posted February 23, 2005 Slimbo, check this out mate http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/help/ipodfriendly.html Aye, I was reading that earlier, unfortunately, it seems the only way I could get it to work would mean losing my CD changer as I've only got a cassette head unit, so I'm just going to get one of those things that plugs into the iPod and inserts into the tape deck for now. If the sound quality is crap, then I'll upgrade when I get a bit of money laid aside.

kerrinmay 0 Posted February 24, 2005 What I'd really like is to be able to control the Zen micro from my head-unit but I guess that's probably asking a bit much.

Audiosupreme 0 Posted March 30, 2005 Trust me - get the MP3 Transmitter where me and Furki got it from. I orderd it at 4pm and got it the next day from the guy who sells them! For £11.99 you cant go wrong - and it works puka!
Henny 0 Posted March 30, 2005 Audiosupreme, yup, they're good, but they're also illegal to use in this country and make you liable to a fine of upto £10,000!
Audiosupreme 0 Posted March 30, 2005 YIKES! But well known retailers sell similar products, like Tescos sell the FM Handsfree kits that work in the similar way - through the radio. Are you positive that they are illegal?
