water pump in my vr6 HELP !!!

undo front and rear engine mounts, slacken the gearbox one a bit. Then jack up the engine. (put a nice bit of old carpet on the jack so you dont scratch the engine at the bottom).

 

Keep jacking until you can get at the pump pulley and get stuck in. You have to jack the engine pretty high!!

 

Its not a difficult job. oh you need a suitable bolt to screw into the auxilary belt tensioner to slacken of the belt. 8mm if I remember correctly.

Sounds good was looking at it ,,its very tight

has to be done ,,pulley sits right in the middle of the leg

Tight isn't the word!! Make sure you spray wd40 or equivalent on the pulley bolts as I had alot of trouble getting one of them off.
