Keeping coilovers clean

im gonna want to drop my coilovers right down at shows etc, whats the best way to keep the threads clean so they dont get messed up with all the road crap. Thanks for your help 8)

I'd guess some kind of tape to cover up the threads. Maybe masking tape?

I spray mine with cavity wax during the winter months to stop the salt attacking them. Seems to work well and is easy to clean off with the pressure washer when you need to adjust.

Motor factors. You can get Waxoyl in spray cans. Pretty convenient.

Yeah, that'll probably do a better job than masking tape :)

Cool, ill pick some up 2moro then going right past a few motor factors on my route...rather use company time and fuel than me own :D

I use stuff that halfords sell, its not the waxoil one, but one made by someone else. Seems to be a better product as it gives a better coverage than waxoil (tends to be a bit oily) which comes off fairly easy.
