Sunroof Problems!!!

As it seems tobe the case with all corrados my sunroof has decided to stop working neither tilt or slide work and on the way to the bodyshop today it decided to drop!! after abit of ringing round I have been offered one for £89.00 in full working order, a couple of questions?

 

1 Is it worth it?

 

2 As they are colour coded is it possible to remove my roof and place it on the running gear of the workingone?

1. £89 seems reasonable enough for a complete sunroof mech.. you do want to verify its in full working order before you buy it and be sure to properly grease everything up before fitting it.

 

2. Yep - you can swap the body panel over for the one off your car :)

Looks that way, have just scored a roof with slight damage to the lid mech fully working for £25.00!!! bargain!!!! :D

I would do seems to be a major problem with the rado's for some reason!! :x

Mine has dropped recently, does anyone know which part I need to replace or is it the whole mechanism?

Bobbywhacker, try a search mate- been discussed many times. Think the Stealers sell a repair kit of some sort, although they'd rather not sell it to you so you buy the whole thing :roll:
