2002 golf gti 20v turbo?

silly question but a mate of mine has a 2002 golf gti and he recons its all standard - 20v 1.8 turbo? is he a chavmeister?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but yes in 2002 Golf GTIs were supplied with 1.8 litre 20v Turbo engines.

Most are 150 bhp later ones 180bhp it develops more elsewhere in the VAG range.

cool - not far off then - what do you recon - 2.0ltr v gti? - will i be crying?

Yep.. afraid the Corrado isn't a light car, and the 2.0 16v engine isn't spectacularly punchy. The 1.8T will walk over you :(

as far as i know it will only be the 180bhp one if it is the anniversary model and if not it'll be the 150bhp model.
