Replacing fuel lines from metering head 2 injectors. . .

Recommended Posts

Can i just replace it with normal braided fuel line like stuff u can get from halfords or do i have to but original plastic pipe stuff? Looking a bit tiredand split in places so as load of stuff to do this weekend as ever, might as well do that!

Oh and fully synthetic gearbox oil yea?!?

Gearbox, yeah, Redline MT90 works well in VW boxes.

If the fuel lines aren't leaking, I'd be inclined to leaving them and saving yourself a few bob personally. If they're really bad, go to a scrappy and get the braided line set from a scrap 16V MK2 Golf.

nice, where can i get the redline mt90 from in 48 hours?!?

there not leaking yet, but look bit fragile, and one has started to split, just dont want fuel spraying everywhere and then mahoosive fire or something!!

So normal fuel line wouldnt be ok? if so what bore is it?

Cheers

normal fuel line WILL NOT take the pressure that the K-JET system works on and you'll pop the lines in next to no time... (voice of bitter experience from younger and more stupid days! ;) )

As Kev says, get some braded ones off a Golf GTI 16V, they clean up nicely and don't tend to wear as badly as the solid plastic ones they used on the Corrados... 8)
