bigpants baby 0 Posted April 18, 2005 just bought a imported mk3 golf vr6 with this conlog alarm/imob,it has a flashey dash indicator light with a pic of a bell/engine in between the centre console switches,is this conlog business set up any good?? RW1 0 Posted April 18, 2005 Generally Conlog alarms were OK but they went bust in about 1999 - 2000. Therefore the alarms do not conform to the Cat 1 etc at Thatcham anymore. Insurance recognition problems for acceptance and discounts etc. are the consequence of this. Older alarm systems are harder to program (pre 1996) as the support equipement and procedures weren't simple. Plus only one in four VW dealers were Conlog, the majority were Scorpion. EDSTARVR6 0 Posted April 20, 2005 I had a conlong logic 100 (maybe it was 200?) on my old golf. Thought hte system was fine, until the ultrasonics developed a fault and kept setting the alarm off.
