Slight hesitation at 5500 RPM any ideas???

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to pick the brains of the techie corrado bods...

My VR seems to have developed a slight hesitation at about 5000 - 5500 rpm with the throttle fully open. I have just brought a new fuel filter which i'm gonna throw on it to see if this helps.... any other ideas would be well recieved.

Hesitation at 5500rpm, LOL!

If you really must use those revs then it sounds to me like the mixure could have leaned off. Most likely culprit at those revs is the fuel pump and sometimes the CAT converter can melt down and cause a partial blockage....hard to say really mate without getting it checked out professionally, but those are my hunches anyhow...assuming all the obvious things are OK (MAF, O2 probe, plugs, leads etc).
