MFA outside temp reading.

Ever scine ive had my vr its never showed the outside temp reading on the MFA. It shows mpg, average speed etc. but ends with the oil temp. Didnt even realise it was ment to show outside temp. until i read a post on here.

Stumped on that one. Outside temp is the last displayed before it starts again.

Mine ends with oil temp. then starts again, never shows outside temp. Odd.

the sender is on the driver side air duct to the brakes

Theres a blue conector on the inside of the driver side wing with no sensor in it. Is it related?

yup, that blue connector should connect to the sensor in the lower bumper grill on the drivers side... have a look under the indicator and you'll see a metal panel riveted in behind the grill, there should be a sensor in there that the connector should attach to. If it's not there you'll need a new sensor.

 

The MFA will skip the outside temp display function completely if the sensor is either disconnected or dead. 8)

Do all models show the outside temp or just vr's. My valver ends with oil temp. Always thought it a bit odd as me golf's both had outside temp.

Whitedog, yup, all of 'em should have it...

 

Good news is that the sensor isn't expensive... 8)
