COR VR 0 Posted May 13, 2005 The sunroof on my rado has been working fine until a month ago when I locked the car using the total closure from fully open. As the panel slides out to 3/4 of the way closed it seems to jump up a few mm, thus scratching the paint (bugger!). I can counteract this by holding the panel down, but it ain't the most practical way. Has anyone had a similar problem? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 13, 2005 Just like to add, it's the water plate guide that's worn causing the scratching. They wear on the nearside first for some reason. A lack of grease and frequent use of the tilt mode causes the wear. Odd how the exact same components in the MK3 and Passat never break though. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
