Unchip a car?

Does anyone know if its possible to unchip a car, as in my car has been chipped earlier in its life and would like too take it out, is this possible or should i have another chip to go back in it>??

You need the original chip to go back in.

Sure about that? The unichip is just a differential device - unadjusted it does not alter the settings of your existing chip. It can be used to modify the profiles of any chip, even non-standard ones.

Whether it's worth it is another question...

Nah its not a UNIchip, Think its a Superchip, I just want it out though but was not given my old chip back at the time, much to my annoyance now, gonna go down shop now and have a good moan about it.

I'm sure stealth or any decent VR6 tuner will have a copy of the standard map they could burn for you.

No, fuel economy is about the same with it, just want too rule it out, tryin to sort some running issues out.

you may be able to find someone that can remap the present chip to a standard map, depends on the chip

 

I.e If is was an of the self chip then you will need the old chip

if it was a rolling road chip setupp then the chip may have been set to your car, therefore you MAY be able to get it mapped to near standard.
