Insurance renewal

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just got me renewal through the post yesterday. £750 for 91 G60 with mods declared. I need to find a cheaper company than this as I think it's a bit high. Any recommendations for companied to try would be greatly appreciated.

24 years old (25 in Sept)

4 years NCB

AB24 postcode

Cat one alarm / immobiliser

Few mods :D

Parked on street (will have garage soon)

Cheers

HIC and Adrian Flux are both worth a try.

HIC beat all the other quotes I'd had on my 16v by quite a bit.

Mate, I just re newed my insurance, I am 21, with one year noclaims, all mods declared, cat 1 alarm and immobilizer, 1378 TPFT with Adrian Flux, I was with HIC and they wanted £1600 plus, I would have had 4 years no claims, but I have a pending claim which I am still trying to win, but if I do they then refund me back the difference.

Give http://www.elephant.co.uk a go, they seem to be very cheap just now, there the same company as Admiral and Bell Direct I think but they only do there insurance over the web page so have less overheads and lower prices.

thats not too bad really.....assuming its Fully comp and as you say all your mods have been declared......remember where you live is really classed as the city centre and the fact that you can only park on the road doesn't help either and thats before you get to your age........things like the front bumper, lowered suspension, bigger wheels and the performance upgrade all increase your premium........but try every other insurance company and see how they compare

When you get to Roddy`s age you will save a packet

If they will accept you because of your age i would try BELL DIRECT 0800 140 180.

All the guys i have passed this onto have saved a fortune, and i have been with them for 5 years now and that must say something if they can keep beating everybody elses quotes.

Also try H&R in Aberdeen.

I always found elephant dire for younger drivers... had a great result with More Than for my insurance this year.

Its a bit of an irony that I always seem to get the best deals from the insurers people widely regard as being hugely expensive. Was with Direct Line for the past three years with both my Peugeot 205 and my Corrado.. tried phoning around the 'vw specialists' and CCGB reccomended insurers and they never came close.

Tried about 10 different companies this year for the Saxo as well, and More Than were a clear £100 cheaper than the nearest. £612 fully comp :)

Pretty crazy.

Try Brentacre 01792 650933. They dont mind modifications. HIC and Adrian Flux were also cheap
