What Oil for a Corrado G60

Recommended Posts

fully Synth 10w40 according to everyone with a g60

Jabba sport say that any thicker oil will cause higher oil pressure that could damage the seals in the charger!!

Quantum 10w40 from the stealer, or any good brand that confirms to the same standerds as quantum stuff.

So can someone look on the back of the cotainer and set the VW Numbers off the back

should start 500.00 or 501 or 502 or something like that please.

quantium synta silver used by myself in all g60's and every 5k ...

Same here

I tend to leave mine 'til every 7K miles and either use Quantum Silver or Vauxhall semi synthetic (which is made by Shell)... I leave it for 7K 'cos I do about 21K/year and it means I do it 3 times a year... :D

After reading this thread i have decided to put semi sythetic in my G60. I have noticed though that on these cold mornings it has become increasingly noisier at the top end. Is there any way to remedy this or will it ease off when using the semi sythn?

Cheers

Tom

PS, i have no idea what oil i have in there at the moment.

If it is fully synth in there at the moment It will probably be better after changing to the heavier quatum semi (10W-40)

Make sure you also use the correct G60 filter - should have a hex shape at one end

Sorry to keep harping on about the oil but i was given some magnetec 15/40 oil this weekend. Is this too thick to run in the G60?

Cheers

Tom
