Baz2004 0 Posted July 29, 2005 Ok has anyone retro fit other VW/Porsche/Audi steering wheels on their Corrado? Is there such thing as a hub adaptor for the job? Im not worried about airbags more about fitting the wheel I was looking at TT/RS6/Porsche/M3CSL wheels also would any of these be any easier?
Henny 0 Posted July 29, 2005 MKIV has airbags doesn't it?
RW1 0 Posted July 29, 2005 MKIV has airbags doesn't it? Cos the electronic crash de-accleration sensor is not there, it's inert, but it's still explosive and therefore care must be taken with it just the same while fitting it. Once fitted, the same rules of sitting too close still apply if it goes off accidently. Spline is the same so it should go on. Having the same thought for the daily driver Scirocco at th mo with some leather ones appearing on Ebay.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 29, 2005 I have a MK4 style steering wheel in mine which is a combination of me fiddling and a Nardi wheel.
NickVR6 0 Posted July 30, 2005 Nice work, i've allways just loved the name Nardi, just sounds classy for some reason. Off topic, but are those seats re-trimmed. If not, how the conely did you find a set of raddo leathers in that uncrazed condition!?????
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 30, 2005 Nardi....mmmmm..reminds me of Nardia, my favourite chick's name  Anyway, the leathers had less than 10K's use when I bought them. They were done by MJ Interiors, quite well known in the VW scene. £1400 to trim a C but I didn't pay anywhere near that! Quality is good overall but MJ takes some silly shortcuts here and there which lets the show down.... Overall though, I'm happy.....and I'm the fussiest b'stard I know! Baz2004 0 Posted July 31, 2005 Nice job I like the wheel, what kind of fiddling is involved to get that on?
