billinjah 0 Posted July 11, 2005 you need 4 channel, that set up is very low quality, imho you would be better offgetting a nice headunit and running all your speakers from that
stevemac 0 Posted July 11, 2005 The Pro-Sound 4 channel amp will be okay for the front/rear speakers - I have a similar one in my car. I assume the other will be for a sub ? If so, try to get one with a slightly bigger power handling.
reaper1_3 0 Posted July 12, 2005 thanks guys would i be better then getting a 4 channel amp as i intend to upgrade later with a sub in the boot obviously...!
stevemac 0 Posted July 12, 2005 In your list - there appear to be 2 seperate amps. The 4 channel Pro-Sound one should be okay for the front & rear speakers but won't power the sub. If you're fitting a sub - get the highest output, 2 channel amp that you can afford. This can then be "bridged" to supply a single channel to the sub. I have a Pro-Sound 4x120w amp in my car - powering VIBE component front speakers & the biggest 6x9's your likely to see, in my MDF parcel shelf. I can vouch for the sound quality - sounds great ! Bobby 0 Posted July 13, 2005 Get an alpine 4 channel that runs a decent rms.Unless you have people in the back all the time i would go for a component setu up up front door speaker for mids some dash tweets and then leave the 6*9's out and have a sub for the rear. Runn the sub on a class d mono amp and that should sound pretty sweet when you sat in the front of the car.
