AlanVW 0 Posted July 25, 2005 im still having problems with my VR6, it's getting depressing now. stuck driving a 1.1 Polo fox. I dont know whats wrong with it now, I have fixed the problem of getting power to My ECU but now, since I had half the wiring loom out I have lost my trigger from the ECU to the coil. checked the continuity of the wire and it's whole, and it is a deadwire when the ignition is off and then earths , when the ignition is turned on and the ecu turns the fuel pump on to prime the system, so the ecu appears to be working but im 100% sure, is there anyway to check ? just wondering is it the Engine Speed Sensor That Tells the Motronic ECU When to trigger the coil to induce a spark ?
