Wipers not moving

Recommended Posts

my wipers arent workin at all, on opening bonnet i seen an arm just spinning round with nothing connected to it!! so when i got home i tried reconnecting it, buts its not going on, the bolt im trying to put it thru seems to have a bit of a bulge on it, so im trying to put enough pressure on it to pop onto it with no joy, any suggestions? there is no sign of an old bolt off or anything

Sounds like the main relay bar has fallen off the motor crank. Get a new un from the dub ya, not much cash. What happens is the white nylon insert wears out and breaks, then you lose drive to the wiper mech.

I took mine off drilled through it and put a small bolt through

with a washer on the end to keep it in place.

Was just a tempory measure at the time (6 month ago!) ;)

iirc the part number is stamped on the underside.
