Lights stalk

Recommended Posts

Ok maybe its me, but i've never really warmed to the switching action between full

lights and dims on my early 16v. I just dont like having to pull the stalk for both

actions. Its also kinda loud as well and I'd prefer to just push/pull like most cars

and not have it so loud.

Are the later controls the same? I notice on some pics that the shapes of the stalks

are different/rounder/nicer. Does anyone have a clear pic of these?

Has anyone ever changed to a later style lights and wiper stalks?

Cheers

P.

It's easy enough to fit the later stalks, but you either need a later steeering column cover or slightly modify the old cover and fit the old hazard button on the top of the new stalks.

The late stalks still work in the same way with the same clicky noise, they just look slightly nicer.

as are most vw's, odd really as its seems nobody likes them like that.

Thats a pity really, that noise is annonying i think anyway. Has anyone ever done anything about this? other than changing the whole dash i suppose?
