Supercharged 2 Posted August 6, 2005 Yep, you need it mate - it basically does the job of a hall sender and sends a signal to the ECU... Does it look like it will come off the old lead??

Supercharged 2 Posted August 6, 2005 redcorrado, think you just need this if it's a 9a engine... Impulse sender - 051 905
redcorrado 0 Posted August 6, 2005 oh right ,what does that do.
Supercharged 2 Posted August 6, 2005 It's the extra lead that clips on... check with yer dealer tho before ordering...
gradeAfailure 0 Posted August 7, 2005 You can actually just unscrew the end of the plug lead and slide off the ring sender, then unscrew the end of the new lead and slide it on, then screw the end of the lead back on... Just done this to Laura's, so can confirm this is correct... BTW, it should go on the lead for No.1 cylinder... hth!
redcorrado 0 Posted August 9, 2005 Cant i get a set of leads with this attached, seems a bit daft to take brand new leads apart.
gradeAfailure 0 Posted August 9, 2005 AFAIK, no you can't... It really does only take 5 mins though!
