Explanation of G60 sensors?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone can list all the various sensors and their functions within a G60 engine for me? I'm just wanting to learn what everything does... I've just been reading up on the Blue and Black Temp Sensors (never knew what they did until now), which got me thinking about what else is there?

Cheers, Chris

Quite correct - also known as the "ambient air temp" sensor.

On the throttle body there are 2 micro-switches who tell the ECU that the car is on idle. When there´s a malfuntion on this switch your car will start reving up and down continuosly.

And the other one is for full-throttle which i believe it´s to ignore lambda readings and to get the last ignition map.

Please anyone correct me if i´m wrong! :)
