samm_cvr6 0 Posted September 2, 2005 yep, the states will be looking to buy oil from europe, which is going to hit us even harder. And the price of energy generally speaking is high which has a knock on effect for petrol. I think a lot of the petrol companies in the states are probably just putting up the prices in view of trying to scare monger people and make a quick buck, but oil has gone up. jazzdevil 0 Posted September 2, 2005 i was lucky enough to be living in Australia and running a 4.3l V8 when the last bockades hit... couldn't believe how bad it got over here - my sister ended up abandoning her car on the M27!! :pale: running a VR at the moment is a definitely a pricey job... my daily commute is enforced as i have to get out of the New Forest, but unfortunately not far enough to be an 'economical' trip... it's a bugger, but i'm even tempted to buy a little 1.0l Polo just to get to and from work!!
