Nick 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Ive been reading about the removal of the bump strips and saw that to get the trim off in the first place it is suggested you heat them with, in my case it would be a hairdryer...would this not damage the paintwork? Also once the trim is off it is suggested you use white spirit or similair to get the glue off from underneath...Does this not damage/fade the paintwork? Also flaring arches. Ive searched long and hard on here and cannot find much info. Once its done, and theres a reccomendation of a few companies, will it need to be smoothed and re-sprayed etc? chrishill 0 Posted August 25, 2005 I dont think the hairdryer would get anywhere near hot enough to cause any paintwork damage
VR6 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Think about how hot the car gets when it's in direct sunlight. A hairdryer is not going to get it any hotter than that really. Any all of your questions have already been answered in previous threads. If you read the description of how to use the search, it should help you in narrowing down your search parameters. Closing.
