replacing the o-ring on the blue temp sensor

thought i'd tackle a nice easy job on the bank holiday... the o-ring seal on my blue temp sensor is leaking and needs to be replaced, i've got the o-ring ready to go on but last time i tried i couldnt get the thing out! does it twist or pull? i didnt try too hard for fear of breaking it!

Bit of both - should just twist and pull out.

 

The only thing you could really break is the housing but you shouldn't need to be that careful.

Yep, engine cold and use a pair of plier's if it's won't come out on it's own, for the sake of a tenner I'd change the BTS as well as thats the important one!

i didn't notice the little retaining clip the first time around... doh! came out dead easy once i'd realised it was there! 10mins and 2 wet feet later its all sorted, cheers guys

Errr yeah, the green clip - forgot to mention that :lol:
