g60 oil pressure/temp senders?

what colour/size/bar should the 3 senders be on a 92 g60?

 

2 on oil filter head,and the 1 on the side of head where oil feed runs to charger?

 

the gsf guy was confused :?

mmmm,still not sure.

 

they all look like pressure switches there,but i thought the head one would be temp?

ok,took them out 1 by 1 today...

 

do these markings sound right/what are they?

 

side of head:

0.15-0.45 :? big black one.

 

oil filter head nearest block:

1.2-1.6 big black one.

 

oil filter head furthest from block:

max 150c,small black one.

i think this is the mfa oil temp?

Side of head, low pressure switch. This one turns the warning light off when you start up.

 

Filter mount switch, high pressure, this one if, it is not seeing enough pressure at 2-2500 revs triggers the warning light and buzzer.

 

The last one is the temp sender for the MFA.

id just like to be sure incase i do have pressure probs in the future,thing is i dont know if theyre the wrong ones from previous owners?

really ian? :(

 

i popped in the other day and he brought a few out,just werent sure if they were right or not,he didnt seem to know what he was looking for.

 

im off over there now so ill report back later :lol:

Oh, I could well be wrong on that one then... I must say it's about 3 years since I tried to buy some from there, so it's very possible that they sell them now... 8) oh, and the numbers in your post above look right to me...

well ill be calling back tommorow,stupidly i only noted the pressures from each switch and he said he needed the vw numbers.

 

popped em out and wrote them down,hard to make out though,i think they are...

 

0569 190 81c - 2b :?

Just get switches that are in the ranges that you took off the originals.

 

I wouldn't bother with the temp sender.

 

A low pressure one about 0.5 Bar and a hgh pressure one about 1.8Bar
