You can't afford to be fussy with that budget.

 

Of the suggestions made so far, the MK2 Micra 1.0 and Peugeot 306 TDi are the best bets if your original brief is a strict one.

 

Personally I'd choose the 306 TDi as it's a more entertaining drive, classless and reliable.

 

The Micra is probably just as economical and is VERY reliable....but you only ever see girls and old farts driving those.

Hey I have a 15 yr old K10 Micra as a daily driver

 

I ain't that old!!

 

 

and it only had 26k on it when I "inherited" it two years ago

 

 

FYI

 

bodyroll and understeer are fairly amusing once you get into the swing of it.

 

set of four tyres cost me 75 quid all round fitted!
