craigbeal 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Went an bough myself this yesterday. Really happy with it and what a car. Had to show about 50 people in work it today :D Got it for £9550, just had its C service, new P6000 on the fronts & in all seems very well looked after. Its got 39,000 on the clock and has a complete specialist/lotus service history. Had to sit in traffic for 3 hours with it on the way home though :( Took us 2 1/2 hours to get there and 6 1/2 back. I love it :)
Phil K 0 Posted October 7, 2005 That looks V nice mate - I'd like to have one of these at some point... was the C not giving you enough grin factor any more? How many cars do you have?

samm_cvr6 0 Posted October 7, 2005 I really love Elise's, I used to be obsessed with them but have gone off them slightly, just not practical enough, bet it's great fun tho ay!
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 7, 2005 looks superb mate ,loads of power, go kart style handling and good mpg a nice package, i've been tempted by one these myself a few times , who needs practical ...not me :-)
samm_cvr6 0 Posted October 7, 2005 120hp, hardly loads of power, not being pedantic, but for 9.5k I would prob be lookng more along the lines of a Supra TT, although still prob not as much fun.
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 7, 2005 its power to weight iirc even the slowest elise is 5.8 0-
samm_cvr6 0 Posted October 7, 2005 yea true, I would love one regardless, but would prob be a bit disappointed with it's top end punch, ie above 60. I had a play with one and it wan't a match for my 12 year old VR but I have no doubts, on the twisties, it would leave my VR no probs.
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 7, 2005 aye non are really geared for top end speed , i think the s1 was about 125mph bit more on the s2 190 but still only 135mph been in a few but never drove one, you climb over the sill to get in and out, so i doubt you would be taking your mum shopping :-) horses for courses i suppose , much more focussed than most cars which does limit it still fancy a tvr though , even though everything screams dont buy one lol
samm_cvr6 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Yea, and they have recently released a 240R 1.8 Supercharged one, based on the toyota engine, looks completley bonkers, would have to prefer that to even a Boxster S.
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 7, 2005 aye 240hp 0-60 in less than 4 seconds !! but it is 40+ k and they're limited edition, only 50 or something but that must be mental fast , you're almost in to bike territory on the 0-60 !!
