Workshop Manual Recommendations

Hi,

 

Looking to buy a workshop manual for my 1.8 16v and was just wondering what you guys use? From what i understand Bentley's is the best, but there is no way i'm paying that amount for a paper copy. How do you guys find the cd-based workshop manuals? Do you just print off what you want then go out to the car with the print out?

if you want one for just the engine then just get the haynes manual for the mk2 golf 1.8 16v,as far as i know the bently doesnt cover the 16v corrado(never actually looked at mine proporly)

If you've a 1.8 16V, as Dazzy says, get the Golf MKII haynes manual and the 92-95 Passat Haynes manual and you've got pretty much all the info you'll need... The Bentley is American and so doesn't cover the 8V or 16V cars 'cos they were never exported to there... :|

with the cd manuals you can either print it off or use a laptop by the car or just remember it ;-)

there's also a Lyndsey Porter manual that covers the 16v C's amongst other dubs

Henny, what about for the 2.0 9A? which Haynes manuals?

Lippy, same two... ;) The Passat also got the 9A engine IIRC, and mechanically it's virtually identical to the KR anyway... :)
