Ronan 0 Posted October 18, 2005 OK, took my car down to TJH Motorsport, company in Barnstaple, Devon. They did another couple of compression tests, and yes, that cylinder IS down. The guy in there though, who is very experienced (just as comparision they actually have a 406 Coupe Touring Car in there right now) thinks that the loss in compression isnt the sole cause of my problems. He thinks there may be a fuelling problem, or some other problem somewhere else, so a new engine/rebuild may not be on the cards just yet. He suggested, sometime this week, plugging his laptop into the diagnostic port to get live results while I drive the car. He is not sure however, since my car has an SNS chip, if it will read it. It reads the MK3 GTi they have there, so does anyone know if their software will give live results off a Corrado?
Henny 0 Posted October 18, 2005 nope, AFAIK, G60 ECUs don't give anything other than ABS information via the diagnostics port... :(
