Not an awful lot - 5 - 15bhp? Results will vary a lot from car to car.

 

Forgive me but what is superchip? Is that a brand of off-the-shelf chip?

not to sure really.. im picking it up on tomorow, just trying to sort out the insurance and when i said it had been chiped she wanted to know what bhp it had put it up to.. i eas just going to add a few more little horses on..lol

just spoke to the bloke i am buying it of and he said he has insured it at 210bhp

does this sound about right?

He probably means he can do mods up to 210bhp rather than it's actually making 210.

 

I'd be suprised if a chip will give 20bhp.

There's plenty of info on there - my personal experience is that their claims are quite wide of the mark though . :shock:

 

Even a full custom remap is unlikely to yeild 210bhp.

 

Their claim of an extra 30bhp from a G60, with no other mods at all is complete & utter rubbish. I know - I used to have one of these chips.

It all depends on how much they fiddle with the rolling road while you're having the chip fitted... ;) :lol:

IMO - what matters is max torque "at the wheels" but this has been debated too many times on here already.
