Clocks from a 1992, will they be the same as a 1989 set...?

As the subject says will a set of clocks from a 1992 valver be the same clocks which are in a 1989 valver....? Also is it possible to clock the mileage forward from 110k to 135k....? Thanks. Chris

Nope.

 

92 valver clocks will be the digital odo type so you will need the pick up that mounts on the gearbox instead of the mechanical drive found on the early ones.

 

The indicator bulb on the early valvers is a single unit whereas on the '92 set they will be directional - not sure how difficult this would be to get around.

Also, Momo and VDO clusters don't interchange their components, ie speedo, rev counter etc.

What aftermarket dials can go in a 1989 valver? Mine reads 160mph and goes to 8k revs, but ive only seen the 160mph and 7k ones..
