'auto indemnity' - anyone heard of or delt with them?

Recommended Posts

My insurers have passed my claim on to a company called 'Auto Indemnity' who appear (from their very lacking website) to be a claim management company, however I'm not entirely sure what that means and what their role is.

anyone delt with them before or know anything about them or claim management in general?

They'll get you your excess back for 'free ' from the other party's insurers, assuming you were not at fault. They'll probably also be keen to try for personal injury compensation too - did you suffer any injury due to the accident?

oh without a doubt, see my thread titled 'runaway rado' for more info on what happened.

I guess all I'm worried about is if the claims going through or not, the guy at the insurance company took all my details and an account of the accident then said they'd pass it on to auto indemnity. Never having done this before I suppose I'm just a bit paranoid that they're going to try and wriggle out of it.

I wouldn't be too worried - insurance companies often out-source claims to specialist companies to cut down on the need to actually employ any staff. That's how they make all those profits at our expense!

TBH mate it WAS handbrake failure, i parked the car up in the same spot and let the handbrake off to see what happened, if I'd left it off on saturday night the car would have been rolling when I got out, which I think I would have noticed!
