Black Paint

Is there two different types of black that VW used on the Corrado ?? I always thought there was just one L041 (Black 1988 till 1995) but I have also found this LA9V (Brilliant black 1991 till 1995)

I assume that Brilliant black is metallic but I dont think Ive ever seen a C in that colour. Has anyone got one or a pic of one and how does it look ??

Which of the two blacks suits the Corrado best

There is a metallic black used on some of the later cars and a flat black L041.

My car is in the banner at the mo and that is L041

Agreed 8) 8)

I think it must be a hard colour to photograph as I cant see any real difference between the two  The metallic black does look a little bit lighter on some of the pics ive seen

Ive always liked your car Steve  One of my favourites :D

Cheers J

The metallic black has flakes of green & flakes of red in it. Looks different in different lighting.

Thanks Steve. Im looking for a deep dark black  so L041 would probably be best.
