:cry:hey guys my corrado has let me down a few times in the last month.when i turn the ignition key all the lights(ignition)come on and the fuel pump comes on but the starter doesnt engage.the only way it starts is with a push or a jump start.can anyone help?

i was having same problems it was the battery cold weather exposed it get that checked

Poorly Battery. Nothing else it can be with those symptoms.

I had the same prob, and it turned out that it was the way some monkey had wired my alarm in!!

IIRC There are two cables that go to the starter, a really thick one straight from the battery and a thinner one which engages the starter.

BOTH need to be connected, starter turns over when the thinner cable is taken to +12v

 

Still maybe the starter motor of course but worth checking

i had what sounded like the same problem, i change battery, starter motor, and cleaned all the earths and connections up and it turned out to be the ignition switch.
