Argh! Bloody new cars

Recommended Posts

Thought I would save some much needed pennies by servicing my Polo myself, I mean, I done my 'rado myself - how hard could it be??

So, got all me service parts, jack it up and woops......VW seem to have made nice plastic covers for everything........

I don't like being under the car at the best of times, let alone faffing about taking off bits of plastic just to do a basic service :p

So boo hiss to whoever designed the Polo gti :p

I'm sure they do these things just to discourage people from servicing their own cars. More work for them!

Exactly!!!!!

I couldn't even work out how to change the air filter!?

Will be taking it to a local garage in the week - I'm not paying VW £215 to do it !!!!!!!!!

Viva la resistance!!!!! :p

deffinatly done to prevent home mechanics servicing cars themselves, manufacturers would claim its to keep the engine clean (plastic wipes down easier than metal!) but we know the truth!

power to the people!

That looks like a minty c you have there, the elbow grease is definately working. I like the ride height, my roller skate could do with a 40mm drop.

Are those wheels original?

Thanks :)

I've had it just over a year now, mainly had to spend out on getting wear and tear items fixed. It did have a set of BBS', which I replaced with the G60 steels (new from the stealership) a few months ago.

I like the look of the steelies, they are kinda old school. Did you keep the BBS'?

Have you seen the old top gear g60 video?
