The Mysterious Case of the open n/s window!

This has happened to me several times now and it worries me.

after locking my car using the scorpian remote everthing is ok

but when returning to the car i find the n/s window wide open, not much fun in this weather along with the obvious security implications.

anyone any idea what is causing this?

Sounds like it's probably a fault with the full closure system, but as to what exactly, I've no idea :(

Can you still open the passenger window with the driver's door opened, ignition off? (With either the passenger side or driver's side switch.)

 

If so, just check your driver's door pin switch in the pillar wall has both brown/white wire connected and they are being earth by the pin switch contacts (dual switch). If this is OK, then I would try a replacement window controller, 191 959 875. Common to all Corrados and a lot of other VW's so a scrapyard will have more than likely one knocking about.
