Every Garage is different in there pricing it can range from £200-500 !! :shock:

You need to shop around.

Find out how good the garage is in workmanship,try to get recommendations from friends ect :)

dont get fleeced for parts..vw gaskets are cheep,my 1.8 one was £10 ..pattern bolts £35 ....its not a hard job cant any freinds do it for ya?

Parts are cheap,labour isn't

 

Its not what I call an easy job,waterpump and cambelt get replaced too,the head will be skimmed and new steam seals fitted and it wont just be a headgasket they buy in it will be a head set and its more then ten pounds!!

 

This all depends on the garage that takes on the job.

But were i work we do the lot.
