joebloggsVR69 0 Posted August 23, 2003 How common is is air con on vr6s I wondered this too, 'cos I'm after a VR6 with leather & air con. Apparently, air-con was never a factory option! If you asked for it when you bought the car, VW would fit the Davi-air system (think thats what its called). Yeah I'll probably get people saying it was fitted as an option, but I got my information from a very reliable source - a cousin who worked for them for years, and has also worked for Mercedes, BMW, & Ferrari dealerships, so he knows a thing or two :) . Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted September 6, 2003 Yup, aircon is a dealer-fit, but only by an external party option, never done in the factory. And the Daviair systems are normally quite badly installed... but it works fab and I can't see the bad wiring and cutting, so out of sight, out of mind ;) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
