Wheels rubbing

Recommended Posts

Well I knew that 17" wheels would be a squeeze with a 40mm drop, but I'm getting some rubbing on full lock and was wondering if there's anything I can do about it. I know that the German TÜV is tough on that sort of thing...

So on full lock the rear of the wheel rubs on the arch liner.....

Anything to be done ? Maybe spacers ? or is that just going to make my problem worse :?:

Ok, sounds like I was mis-sold then as I was assured it wouldn't be a problem...

So what if anything can I do to correct it ? Short of changing the wheels :?:

Spacers  and if so how much would you recommend?

remove the liners?

Well I was thinking that.... but wanted to see if there was a more elegant solution to the problem.

Checked the offset with the shop and it's ET35 :?:

Mine rub slightly on full lock - which tbh didn't suprise me... can't say I'm all that bothered either as it's only slight - spacers may resolve the issue though 8)

Well looks like I'll go with some spacers as a solution.

So... for those that have done this before. Should I go 3mm or 5mm spacers ? and rear as well as fronts I guess.

I run 205/35/17s and I also get a tiny bit of rubbing on full lock. But then again, how often are you on full lock when you're driving over 5 mph? How much are they really gonna rub?
