Basic ICE question

OK forgive the ignorance, but is it possible to run a pair of speakers AND a sub from a bridgeable 2 channel amp?

Don't do it!!!

The only way you could do that is to run the sub using full frequencies (i.e. NOT low pass) which subs REALLY don't like. Not to mention the amp might not like being loaded down, so you could end up popping both your amp AND your sub!

As above, its not advisable, but if you have a tri-mode amplifier (not as com now) it is possible, with the use of a low pass filter (simple inductor) for the sub and two high pass filters (capacitors) for the full range speakers. With the filters in place you shouldn't overload the amp too much as long as the choice of filters is correct.
