Belts

Hi all, please help. My belt which runs around the charger, water pump, alternator and maybe even other stuff has disintergrated :cry:

Being skint I gotta try to replace myself and being of little knowledge of engines this should be fun :shock:

I need to know which way the belt goes around all of the cogs as I know this can be very confusing.

If any one can supply me with a picture and any useful tips I should know will be very grateful.

:cry: Please can anyone jot down the V-belt route. Don't wanna get it the wrong way. Gonna try on Saturday.

belt goes

 

round crank and water up to charger under tensioner upto alt round other tensioer back to crank.

 

replace the small belt on the charger if the other has broken. this is the most important belt. costs a tenner and saves a grand. best is to replace both belts at same time so that condition can be judged off the other. this is rough though n better to be safe than sorry. get a wide charger belt from pitstop and a normal one too.
