[MY NEW!] 6 speed box - pics p6

Recommended Posts

now, i have heard that the skoda fabia VRS has a fancy 6 speed that's unique to the car, which may or may not be smaller than an 02m and possibly suitable for a corrado!? shame it's a TDI so the ratios will be a load of bollocks.

AMD said to me that the Cupra R 6 speed is the best box for fitment,

anyone know how much the quaiffe 6 speeds are, with the straight cut gears??, stealths site wont reaconise my email address

I fitted a leon cupra box to my mk2, and the gearing was horrendously short.

Great for a track car, not so god for everyday use.

4000rpm at 80mph in 6th is a bit short for me

That's crazy gearing Coxy! I'm really hoping this one I've got lives up to the ratios that I've found online for the model.

?????? i had mine off the clock (160+)on the A1 (6spd 02M 1.8t) and it was still going, i was running 15's so i think you need to deduct 6.5% of the speed to compensate for the diff in rolling cir from the TT.

i love the 02M but it's just a bit of a lump.

Aye, for some reason the gearing was ridiculously short. The box was off a leon cupra so i dont know if they have shorter gearing or what.

the 02m 6sp box is a huge great beast, and you would need the flywheel and 240mm clutch to match.. there also seems tgo be a lot of 02m diesel boxes floating about so watch the part numbers.

i'm itching to see this 6 sp box that fit the c.

we got faith, we own corrados

must be said though its a mysterious box. not seen anything of a FACTORY 02A 6 speed anywhere else other than this. cant really see why vw would do it either. id have thought 02m was the way they were going as they do 5 speed 02m in some tts too. not sure about its other applications though.
