anyway to find out who owns a reg plate??

the rac site lets you do a basic data check, but you could take advantage of those online sites that give you insurance quotes, see if they can match the reg plate to a car.

also Ebay do a check on selling a car, when you fire in the reg plate it tells you what you should have, and its FREEEEE

ive wondered this as i have b7 wjr but a7 wjr is on a bloomin vauxhall frontera 1992 model according to rac,, i want it for my bike!

i already own W8 8RET which was fine when i could afford modern motors but now im stuck with the h reg rado and a v reg van its not much good to me !!!

 

ive seen on the DVLA site B17 ETL which could be pretty good with a nice illegal show plate (Bret L) but its 400 squids !!

Brett - I've tried DVLA-SOM, the sales site.

If you ask them if the Reg Number is available.

They will tell you if its been issued.

 

Trying to get the registration on their auction site is a different matter. I've emailed them a few times over the past 4 years trying to get my non-issued Reg number request released to auction, no luck so far!!!
