easygeezer 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Have a problem, just replaced a coolant hose topped up water but appear to have an air block, or that's what I orginally thought but been working at it hours now.. Symptoms are car heaters stopped working, when I got them working bottom hose on radiator stays cold, with lid off expansion tank water is permanantly bubbling over, when I put lid on coolant pipes get real pressurised but bottom pipes staying cold. Temp light flashes permanently even though at correct level. I'm thinking thermostat but it was replaced last month, Ive done all the usual stuff, refilled via top hose, etc etc, any ideas please? Supercharged 2 Posted February 19, 2006 You could take the thermostat out to test if all else fails... Have you got the matrix bypass vales fitted - they maybe stuck closed altho this would not make the bottom hose stay cold... May be an idea to take a couple more hoses off and flush thru and maybe check the rad is not blocked internally...
