chassis alignment! help!

Recommended Posts

ok, this is a tricky one!

i,like most of you am suffering greatly at the hands of my car!

i,m experiencing almost every handling problem that we discuss. however i do fear crash damage,i know its been touched. i also know the front subframe is twisted (slightly) i was informed this by the local vw specialist. he said that the chassis was ok,just the subframe damaged.

is there any way to find out for sure if the chasis is ok? i,l replace everything that needs doing if it is. but if the chassis is damaged surely its not worth starting?

its basically going to make or break the project!

any help is greatly appreciated on this even if its just obvious things i need to look out for.

thanks

the only way to check that the chassis is not damaged is to take it to a body shop and ask them to put it on a jig,but it might cost you a bit as i know some body shops have to hire jigs now as so many cars get written off straight away and not repaired like they used to,or you could do a diy job and get someone you know with another corrado and take measurments from key points and compare them with the other corrado
