Jon TDI 0 Posted January 29, 2003 I'm sure everyone on here will agree with you. It's a common fault with the C. There are a couple of things you could do. 1. Modify the wiper arm stops by grinding off material to force the wiper arms on to the windscreen. (detailed explanation can be found on the CCGB website) 2. Get hold of the Lupo GTI set up. (can be found on here under the Tuning & Mods section) I did the first item & it does work. I also use Rain-X on the windscreen from time to time. The wipers on the C i just bought are absolutly pants, dangerously so :( Read Here http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=153 This is the best mod by far Then add one of these http://www.corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=336 and your sorted Dont bother trying to mod the present wipers and arms, its a short term solution that is a waste of time imho. dan 0 Posted January 30, 2003 I done the dremel mod and it didn't work. To be honest, I did rush it a bit and it is tricky to do it right. I decided to take another little bit off the second time. This along with a slight bend on the wiper arm and Bosch blades (both having spoilers) done the trick :D Happy Days
2cc 0 Posted January 30, 2003 Didn't use the voting buttons coz you haven't got a sort of option.... Did the dremmel bit on both motors and it did improve them. Trouble is the wipers now 'hang' on to the glass on one of 'em unless its really wet, p'raps I cut too much off Haven't decided on the lupo yet, not sure about the curve on the drivers side - need to see in the flesh first I think
